facebook now supports #hashtags

Introducing Hashtags on Facebook

Starting today, hashtags will be clickable on Facebook. Similar to other services like Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest, hashtags on Facebook allow you to add context to a post or indicate that it is part of a larger discussion. When you click on a hashtag in Facebook, you'll see a feed of what other people and Pages are saying about that event or topic.
-Greg Lindlet, Product Manager Facebook

there you have it! so long, haters! if anybody goes on to rant about how annoying and attention-whorish hashtag filled statuses are on facebook, you can go quote Greg on this new feature. that'll silence them. or not.

though seriously, for all the good reasons this feature was brought into fb, i'm afraid most tags will remain to be spammy and irrelevant to the actual post. like-suckers unite! haha

Smart Freedom Day Sale, or Fail?

writing this kinda hurts. as a smart employee, it's sad having to read so much negative feedback at the recently concluded Smart Freedom Day Sale. but even at that, i can't speak for the company, this is merely my opinion. reading up on articles and comments and everything, i've come to realize that indeed, it was a big big disaster. so many people rushed and lined up to avail of their (well, our) too good to be true handset offers, but i guess not a good fraction was satisfied. most went home pissed and disappointed at having wasted all the money and effort to be among the first to emerge successful at following their freedom, only to be welcomed by an OUT OF STOCK message, less than 30 minutes in line, much worse without a trace that a single handset was actually released within the time frame.

that must have sucked so much.
most have branded it as a scam. big word to bear, but sad to say, i guess i couldn't agree more.

san ka naman nakakita ng sale na nauna ka sa pila tas out of stock agad? patay tayo dyan. partida, first come first served pa raw yan. lol

oo na, single ka nga! who cares?

source: http://xixo7.deviantart.com/art/Philippine-Flag-91225874

first of all, Happy Independence Day Pilipinas!

sorry about the harsh title ha but i just have to rant and let this out haha. as far as i can tell, today we're celebrating our national independence day! keyword: national, not personal. lol

and soooo, it kinda frustrates me how some kids are singling themselves out (yet again) in a totally irrelevant celebration of their singlehood (?). i mean okay, i understand the pun intended but seriously, was it really just a pun, or a sly way of inviting? naiirita ako pag napapansin ko eh. haha

there's nothing wrong with being single and looking, but paying tribute to it every day sounds kinda desperate, don't you think? as if not enough people know you're single and hunting, i mean looking pala hehe.

hindi naman ako galit sa mga single na nakiki-independence day no (#medyolang haha), after all naging single rin naman ako. at na-frustrate rin ako. but not to the point that i get reminded of how it sucks to be single eeeevery single occasion on the calendar. #boom

but it's not always like that, there are some who are actually celebrating being single. as in, happy sila! and i totally appreciate it, if anything, i like reading happy feeds online. but come oooon, you don't have to say (or hint!) you're single while (or and) having fun. as if there's a distinction between having the liberty to enjoy with being single or not (highly debatable but you see my point). tingin ko dalawang bagay lang yan eh, either a) may pinaparinggan kang ex. lol ooooor b) [see title]

let me show you my observations of a typical huntsman. naks. ganda ng term ko. lol
sila yung mga, you know, di mo naman gaanong close pero kabisadong kabisado mo yung love life kasi... wala. hehe

january
new years resolutions list would always include SELF IMPROVEMENT (acceptable? of course! me ganyan din sa list ko eh) pero pag me kadugtong na, "para magka-boyfriend na ko"? ugh. [see title]

february
happy singles awareness month! this i accept. after all, it's the love month so nauuso naman talaga to. then again, [see title]

april
happy april fool's day! naalala mo nanaman yung manloloko mong ex kaya ka single ngayon? [see title]

june
need i say more? [see title]

july-sept
we all know it's the rainy season! perfect occasion para sa mga nage-emo emohang walang mayaya sa kapehan. outcome? a selfie with a cup of coffee*. hashtag single. hashtag loner. hashtag wannaCome? [see title]

november
all souls day nanaman, di mo parin nahahanap ang soul mate mo. [see title]

december
for me december should be more about the family so it annoys me why this is regarded as another february. hehe

and on other months?
they're either so happy or so sad because they're single. either, way [see title]

Personality Tests

true on bold.

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are a true romantic. When you are in love, you will do anything and everything to keep your love true.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education
Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:
You have many goals and want to achieve as much as you can. The jobs you enjoy are those that let you burn off your considerable excess energy.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

------------

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test81.aspx

Here is the analysis:
  1. You are a very serious person. You tend to be quiet and well behaved, and you don't have a great deal of self-confidence. You prefer to be alone rather than with friends and that could make you a little less interesting to certain types of guys. You are very attractive in an individual kind of way, and this means it can take people a little while to get to like you.
  2. You really care about other people's feelings and are quite serious about the issues that affect your life. You are sincere, and your concern for the well-being of others makes many people want to be your friend.
  3. You are a bright, cheerful and bubbly person. You are thoughtful and considerate, and like to have fun. Everybody feels comfortable around you because of your pleasant nature. When you walk into a room, people's eyes are likely to be drawn to you because of your charm.
  4. Guys see you as being a thinker and a careful person. They will be really attracted to this quality in you, but you need to learn to speak your mind, otherwise people will find you too shy and quiet. Learn to relax and lighten up--it's okay to have fun sometimes. When you learn to develop your fun-loving side, guys are going to flock to your side.
  5. Your boyfriend believes that you are a strong and independent person. Your confidence and cheerfulness make you an attractive person to be around, but sometimes you need to pay more attention to what other people, including your boyfriend, are thinking.
------------

Here is the analysis:

You desire a love that will last forever. You are quite serious about finding this type of love, and that's why you think carefully about the men that you meet before deciding whether you could really love them. You don't just develop a crush on someone overnight: you look at a person's personality and other aspects of their life before deciding to form an attachment. If a guy doesn't meet your expectations, you would rather be alone. Your love has to be perfect. Be careful though, you could be missing out on some worthy relationships because your standards are so high.

bored.

to "celebrate" my first year anniversary of working at Smart as a full time software development analyst (aka programmer) let me share to you my thoughts in general about how much i think i've grown, changed, learned... in short, how sad i am. oops kidding. >:P

crucial tong panahon na to para sakin. bakit kamo, kasi i can finally add a year's worth of experience to my resume. and speaking of resumes, andyan yung tempation na mag-resign at maghanap ng ibang trabaho... yung may mas malaking sweldo, mas malapit, at less stressful ang trabaho. tanong, may ganon ba?

WALA.

considering na i'm only a year old in the industry, ang yabang bang pakinggan kung gusto ko nang magresign?  siguro. pero nas-stress na ko eh. sobra. tipong, as much as i want to Live More as the company slogan says,  commute pa lang papunta at pabalalik, ubos na buhay ko. Live More sa bus at train ang peg ko. kung alam nyo lang kung gano ka-precious ang oras na yan. haha

but that's not all. there's the workload for the most part. adaming trabaho nakakutuwa (not sarcastic haha). seriously, i like having a lot of things to do, but to not know HOW to accomplish them? that's the problem. i'm one year at work and i still feel so incompetent.

infairness andami ko na ngang natutunan eh. this entire year i can vouch for myself that i've learned a lot already. but sad to say, what i've learned is not enough. my java improved a lot! from 0, nasa basic na ko ngayon. oha. LOL.

at this point the only thing holding me back is the salary (+ bonuses!). but that's not to say i'm closing my doors on better opportunities.

i believe there's so much room for growth inside the company. siguro i just have to reposition myself some place where i can be more productive. or maybe i just have to ask myself this question (again and again), do i see myself as a programmer even in the future? eto na ba talaga yung career path na tatahakin ko?

much of the stress i'm feeling right now is caused by my technical incompetence parin talaga. tipong, it's been a year... may nagawa ka na bang bagay na macoconsider kong milestone? argh.

so far, so good? maghihintay na lang ako ng bonus. >:P

Transform yourself with Schick

If you had the powers of MAN OF STEEL for one (1) week, how would you use it?

looking up on google, we have:
flight, invulnerability, superhuman strength, superhuman speed, super vision, super-hearing, super breath (including freeze breath), eidetic (whut?) memory, longevity, super olfaction (whut??), enhanced lung capacity, telekinesis, etc. (thanks wiki!)

but in the movie, MAN OF STEEL's most prominent superpowers appear to be:
flight, super strength and super speed

so going back to the question, if i had that mean bunch of god-like powers (referring to the 2nd list) for a week, how would i use it?

almost everyone wants to be that good 'ol selfless superhero who peeks his head into every social issue, protects the poor, chases criminals, saves the distressed damsel, etc. but seriously, that is too good to be true. one can't simply be too good and not puke (even spiderman turned black). sorry, let's bite into reality and realize that the question at hand is actually a personal question and not something you'd most definitely fake to earn a miss universe crown (or two movie tickets to a blocked screening of Man of Steel hihi)

i'll be honest. i'm not a bad person. just a selfish one. i can't afford to be superhero for a week, just imagine the grief it would cause everyone when i'm ripped off of my temporary superness! they'd be devastated! and i'll be shamed for the rest of my life as someone not worthy enough of permanent greatness. ugh, can't take that. lol

in other words (did my long intro kill you?), my 7-days trial of being a superhuman will all go to exploiting it for my personal benefit, none of those hypocritical causes of saving the world from eternal damnation and terrorism, feeding the hungry and alleviating poverty and all those shiz urgh i'm choking already. but hey, that's not to say i won't help anyone at all and be a mean jackass, if i come along someone in need i will definitely help (without exposing too much of my powers though). i believe there's still a considerable amount of good in me. hehe

so here's what i'll do, given a week, i'll devise a ONE WEEK WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM for myself and go to the gym! BWAHAHA i'll be having that (late) beach body i've always dreamed of finally!

- i'll run on the treadmill at 15kph non-stop for 1 hour.
- i'll average 150khp at the stationary bike for 1 hour.
- i'll lift crazy weights and focus on improving my major muscle parts (upper back, thighs and fl[abs])
- i'll do sit-ups repetitively until they shape up to a 6 pack (exaggerating haha)
- and of course i'll eat healthy.

that week will be the best pilot to kickstart my dream of living a fit and healthy lifestyle. if i do lose weight on that week (and i know i will!), i'll owe it to myself to maintain that figure. not necessarily exercise ala man of steel but at least continue the program in a (super) scaled down manner, haha. and of course, EAT HEALTHY!!

Want to win free movie tickets to a special screening of Man of Steel (plus other prizes!)? Schick Philippines could give you just that! Just buy any superman marked Schick Razor Pack and fill out the form on the image link below, who knows if you're one of the lucky many who will win?
