the sweetest dream

just so i won't forget about it.

we were having lunch with a bunch of friends at LB square when he started talking about us, about how he wished i wasn't too independent so i could feel how much he cares for me. he said sometimes he thinks he's not good enough for me cos i can do anything without anyone's help at all. he said he wanted to be my guy. he also said i'm almost like a mother, always concerned about the people around me, that if i were a guy i would be the perfect gentleman.

then my mom woke me up for breakfast.
crap.

i could only hope it happened for real, but it was only a dream! i've never been than flattered in my entire life. can i cry? and it came from a guy i was crushing on... before. same old feelings rushing back in.

my entire body hurts, i may not go to the gym today. wahahaha
k bye, off to MoA. haha

[ETA: i don't think most of what he said were true though. hahaha i don't like being called a gentleman cos that's for, duh, men. i'm only more careful with my girl friends and younger friends, cos you know, they're girls...and they're young. yeah, whatever, thanks. hahaha but it doesn't change the fact that i was flattered like hell and also considered being 'his girl'. sucks it was only a dream!]

day 1

discipline!

this day, i kinda over exerted myself that i almost fainted in the shower after maxing out the hourglass at the sauna. it's an epic gym day for me too because i lasted for more than 30 minutes on the 2 cardio machines i hate the most, usually i give up on the first 5 minutes. waha! walang kwenta!

and guess what, i didn't go gaga over their brewed coffee. in fact, i managed to ignore it for the rest of the day! 3 months ago i never leave the gym without a cup of coffee, so this is something new. i'm not a coffee person anymore! hot choco na favorite ko. hohoho!

karlaloo, my bestfriend, also came in... to freeze her account! haynako, no more gym buddy. so we bonded for awhile, ate at pancake house (oi, first time ko kaya dun! haha), bought ice cream, checked odyssey and blah blah blah.

i'm worried about that could-be supertyphoon Pepeng. :\

awhile ago in the car, while waiting for terai to sign off at greenwich, my dad and i talked about random stuff, he asked me what would i rather be, a maya bird or an eagle, a maggot or a crow, if i would prefer to live in the new testament or now.

of course i answered him... i'd rather be a maya bird because i think being an eagle is too lonely, you'd never see them in flocks. they're too proud and they live only for themselves. and well? a maya bird has friends! wahaha >:D

maggot or crow? binatukan ko na lang tatay ko. scavengers are yucky. and the existence of maggots puzzles me. bigla lang silang nag-ssprout out of nowhere whenever there's decaying meat (or something). ewan. oks. research item number 1.

on the third question though, even though it would be a treat to live in the new testament and hear Jesus preach LIVE, i said i'd still live here in the present, here at AD. kasi, knowing myself, even if i lived back in the NT, i don't think i'd be one of Jesus' avid followers. i understand why the people in the Bible didn't believe Jesus at first. duh? sino ba naman? if i were there i guess i'd be cocking an eyebrow at Jesus for claiming he's the son of God. ikaw ba naman, lapitan ng anak ng isang hamak na karpintero tapos sasabihin nya sya daw ang Anak ng Diyos? the nerve! so essentially, hindi rin ako ma-ssave at that era. so much for meeting The Son of God in the flesh.

we're so lucky we're at this age where salvation is free and you can consult God however you want, through prayer or though the Bible. all you have to do is accept Jesus wholeheartedly.

naisip ko nga e, what if this period is the New Testament? how would Jesus dress up? would he be a mainstream conformist? hiphop? emo? or would he dress up like those on-the-go evangelists? and hirap isipin cos He has to be perfect. nowadays pa naman, most of your credibility lies on the way you dress. would he be a celebrity? hmm...

anywaaaaay, after that, my dad explained to me that it is, without a doubt, ALREADY THE END TIMES. the revelations are already manifesting. hindi nagkulang si God. it's all up to us. whenever my dad talks about it, i always listen to him intently, after all.. he was a pastor and he's the nearest person i could consult about my 'spiritual' problems.

grabe, natatakot ako. sunod sunod ang bagyo.

no one knows when the 2nd coming will be but everyone knows it's near. nakakaloka yung ganun a. pero we should all realize that the best preparation we should make is to accept God. yun lang naman. hahaha

i wanna be saved too you know! kaya nga mega prayer brigade ako ngayon and i'll resume my Bible reading session (oo kasi i was fascinated with the old testament e, history kasi yun! hehe), at magpapaka-bait ako. i'll quit smoking and stop cursing!

so this day isn't just day 1 of my crash workout plan, but also the day i started rekindling my lost spiritual ties with God. :) it's not yet too late

wahahaha! but you knooow, i have a feeling i'm just gonna end up laughing at myself after this. wahaha i was never a fan of exercising, or sports in general, so i'm pretty much a weakling in terms of physical fitness. pero inspired ako! kasi... my mom bought me a red long gown i can use for her awards night (as her escort) and i love it! so i feel obligated to give the pretty gown justice by becoming thinner to suit it better. oo grabe, it's hard to fit gowns when you're fat.

i feel bad for all the people who are still left stranded in their homes (not that it remained one), awaiting rescue. i feel bad that that the least i can do for them is pray, and maybe deliver some of my old clothes to mcdonald's (the nearest place collecting relief materials from here). listening to the news is way too depressing. the death toll has reached more than a hundred already, and PAGASA says there's another brewing storm bordering on the Philippine area of responsibility. we haven't even recovered yet!

i don't know why people are reacting badly about this. get used to it. it happens everytime. villar isn't the only politician guilty of indirectly soliciting votes through donations. i'm not saying this because i like manny villar or something. though the time spent printing and sticking out those texts could have been used to deliver the food much faster, bottom line is: he still helped.

God knows how much we idealize our politicians too much. no leader is righteous enough to sit on the presidential throne. between two evils (in our case, tons) , choose the lesser one. it really does take an evil to become president.

epic flood

hoy ondoy!

what an experience! i was supposed to blog about this yesterday but i got sleepy so all i managed to update was my twitter. hahaha sinisipon ako! and for some reason, i can't access my facebook homepage... i had to use a proxy site to open it. bugger! ano kayang meron? ano nanamang nagawa ko? hahaha

so yesterday...

i woke up and it was raining already. when i came to class, it rained harder and from there it only became worse. classes were suspended for the afternoon but their announcement came too late cos when we were out of the school gates, it was flooding already and there were no available means of transportation. in short, we were stranded! more than 5 hours pare! whew! grabeee it was the worst typhoon i've ever experienced, well, kasi nasa labas ako. hahaha

anyway. enjoy naman kasi i was with my friends. tambay lang somewhere... besides, EVERYONE was stranded. including the vehicles! kawawa naman grabe. it was so stupid of me to not bring a payong and a jacket, chka phone. pero keri lang. grabe ang lamig! perhaps the worst thing that happened to me was...hindi ko alam! wala naman siguro. aaaah, yung mga ipis na naglabasan sa kanal hahaha. pero hindi naman ako masyadong nainis e. mejo na-fascinate pa ko kasi it was my first time to witness an epic flood and a cockroach revolution up close! and besides, masaya naman mga kasama ko. chaka nakatulog naman ako kahit pano kaya hindi ako badtrip. yehey. so after more than 5 hours, tatlong yosi, lugaw with egg, at pancit canton... nakauwi rin! hooooray! :D :D

thank God cos hindi kami gaanong nasalanta. ano ba naman yung mababad yung bag ko sa ulan at muntik masira yung mp3 player ko na ibebenta ko pa sa ebay, kumpara kay Christine Reyes na sa bubong na nagpalipas ng ulan. dba? i still consider myself blessed. thank you God for protecting me and my family from harm. :)

no classes tomorrow until tuesday so that's great! no corpo attire yehey! :)

// on survivor. ooh, so louie was voted out!!! sooo, giveaway na pala yung commercial nya sa mangyayari sa kanya. hahaha i never really liked him, chickboy daw?!?! wtf right?! ang ayoko na kanya, he thinks he's smart, that his strategies are working, and that he's strong when in fact, wala talaga syang na-manipulate. even charles? i mean, magaling lang makisama si charles at super bait to the point na muka syang underdog (not to mention, gay) pero louie? he never really earned anyone's trust in the camp. and sama pa ng dila nya! ang kapal ng muka nya.

i'm worrying for justine tuloy! louie might actually beat her on monday, and i hate to see that happen cos she's (for me, justine is a GIRL. oks?) been through a lot on isla purgatoryo chaka, ang gandang comeback nun pag naka-abot sa merge si justine! oh come on.

// i'm not feeling the weekend! monday to saturday classes are starting to bore me. aaaand i'm feeling the curse of my heels na! hahaha corpo attire on monday is something i'm not looking forward to, sana signal no.3 sa monday. whew, october na sana pls? bakit? kasi balik gym na ko sa october which is thursday next week, yaaaay!!! my last month at fitness first before i transfer the membership to my dad kasi wala na kong pambayad and hindi ako pumapayat! anyway, gym for me isn't about losing weight e...tumaba lang ako dun e. i'm more on the coffee, cabled tv, internet and sauna. wahaha
