Teen Wolf to unveil second half of its 5th season: Reconciliation and New Intrigue


When Scott McCall wished to be more than just an ordinary teenager, he did not expect things to take a supernatural turn. Bitten by a werewolf just before he starts sophomore year, his life is turned upside down – as if your regular teenager did not already have enough issues to deal with. Scott is forced to deal with a double life as he struggles to protect his loved ones and keep up a front of being a “normal” teen.

The series set in the town of Beacon Hills is on its 5th season. Coming off the midseason cliffhanger, the new episodes will unfold with Scott’s attempts to reunite his group and other characters picking up broken pieces of their relationships damaged by past conflicts. Tune in to also find out if more light will be shed on what exactly Parrish the hellhound is up to.  Developed by Jeff Davies and starring Tyler Posey as lead actor, Teen Wolf airs every Monday at 8:50 pm. AXN gets into gear with Cash Cab Philippines

MANILA (December9, 2015) – AXN, the number one general entertainment channel in Asia, is delivering an awesome gift to viewers this festive season with the premiere of Cash Cab Philippines, the only gameshow on wheels.

The Emmy-award winning format, created especially for Filipino audiences, will premiere in a double episodeon Tuesday, December 22, at 8.50pm with an encore on Thursday, December 24, at 9.15pm.During the show, a specially fitted out Cash Cab will navigate the busy streets of Manila while picking up unsuspecting passengers. The Cash Cab will appear as a regular taxi service however,upon entering the car passengers will find themselves as contestants on a truly mobile game show.

In the 13 episode series, popular actor Ryan Agoncillo will assume the role of cab driver and show host, driving passengers to their destination while quizzing them on general knowledge.  Questions asked during the ride will start easy and become trickierwith contestants winningcash prizes for each correct answer.An incorrect answer means a strike, and contestants have up to three strikes before they are booted out of the cab and onto the street, no matter where they are. Contestants will have two “shout outs” for help if they are stumped on a questionand can either call a friendor ask a random stranger for the answer.

[Mad Crush] Jaqen H'ghar of Game of Thrones (complete scenes)

A very mysterious and recurring (thankfully!) character from Game of Thrones, Jaqen H'ghar (played by Tom Wlaschiha) was introduced into the story during the second episode of season 2 (The Night Lands). He was a prisoner from the dungeons of King's Landing recruited by Yoren to join The Night's Watch. En route to The Wall, he became friends with Arya Stark when she helped him (and 2 others) escape as they came against the Lannister forces.

“Asia’s Got Talent” Premiere Tops Philippine Ratings


“Asia’s Got Talent” Premiere Tops Philippine Ratings Manila, Philippines –AXN’s highly anticipated “Asia’s Got Talent” premiere collectively topped ratings among English Pay TV channels in Southeast Asia. 

During the show’s two hour debut on Thursday, March 12 at 8:05pm, AXN delivered more than 10 times the ratings of the next English general entertainment channel across Singapore, Malaysia and the  Philippines.

“Asia’s Got Talent” was the top AXN program year to date in the country. During its telecast, AXN ranked #1 with more than 80 per cent share amongst all English general entertainment channels, and ranked #2 amongst all Pay TV channels. 

In Singapore, “Asia’s Got Talent” led the ratings chart in its timeslot for English Pay TV channels and AXN was also the top English channel for the night on StarHub. 

In Malaysia, “Asia’s Got Talent” was the #1 rated show in its timeslot across all English channels on Astro. AXN dominated the timeslot with over 80 per cent share across all English general entertainment channels.

MTRCB Launches its 2015 TV and Film Infomercial

Have you seen MTRCB's latest TV infomercial featuring celebrity couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos? >XD


2015 marks the 30th year of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). To kick off the celebration of its anniversary, MTRCB formally launched its new infomercial on 23 February 2015 at 2:00 p.m., MTRCB Building. Directed by renowned film and television director Jose Javier “Joey” Reyes, Jr., DGPI and conceptualized by Mr. Erlito “Lilit” Reyes, the infomercial features actors-spouses Ryan and Judy Ann Agoncillo in a typical morning situation at home. In such scene, their depicted child picks up a word from a TV feature and asks the elders in the house what it means.



The infomercial aims to challenge parents and responsible adults to be aware of the media content our children are exposed to, and to be mindful of the MTRCB’s classification ratings. Parents are also reminded that the primary duty in guiding their children as to the media the latter see still rests in them.

Details of the infomercial were discussed by Director Joey Reyes, Ryan and Judy Ann Agoncillo, Lilit Reyes and MTRCB Board Members Bibeth Orteza and Manet Dayrit, the latter being Co-Chairpersons of the Infomercial Committee.



The launch was culminated by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the TV Networks and theater operators to ensure showing of the infomercial and to continuously empower the general public towards discerning viewership and thus, among other objectives, inform parents as to the media and entertainment their children may see.

The infomercial will be aired in all television networks and theaters nationwide starting 25 February 2015.

In this six-part series, Jamie and Jimmy will be inviting some of their celebrity friends who will cook and serve the dish of the day to the café’s patrons. Sienna learns the all-essential steps and tips to making her favourite rich duck ragu with pici pasta. Jamie teaches Usain to replicate the dish the sprinter believes is the secret to his Olympic

JAMIE OLIVER

Jamie Oliver (born May 27, 1975) is a phenomenon in the world of food. He is one of the world’s best-loved television personalities. Jamie has had huge success with his many television series The Naked Chef, Jamie’s Kitchen, Jamie’s School Dinners, Jamie’s Great Italian Escape, Return to School Dinners, Jamie’s Chef, Jamie’s Ministry of Food… and more recently Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals, Jamie’s Big Feastival and the Emmy award-winning Jamie’s Food Revolution.

Jamie has inspired people to spend more time enjoying being in the kitchen – and even start growing their own food! His programmes have now been broadcast in over 100 countries. Having been translated into over 30 languages, the accompanying cookbooks are bestsellers not only in the United Kingdom (UK) but across the world. His 2010 book, Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals, became Jamie’s first million-selling book in the UK as well as being the fastest-selling non-fiction book since records began.

His high street restaurant collection ‘Jamie’s Italian’ is hugely popular across the UK and the Fifteen restaurant group, which he founded in 2002, provides training for young people in three locations around the world, producing food of the highest quality.

JIMMY DOHERTY

Jimmy Doherty (born May 24, 1975) has always been passionate about nature and farming. By the time he was 16, he was the youngest ever Assistant Entomologist at the Mole Hall Wildlife Park, Walden. After gaining a degree in Zoology, Jimmy worked in the Entomology Department at London’s Natural History Museum before moving on to Coventry University where he taught Animal Ecology and Animal Philosophy.

In 2003, Jimmy decided it was time to make his dream of living the good life a reality. He left London and without any experience or prior knowledge of farming, took on a leasehold of a 100-acre farm near Ipswich in Suffolk. His rollercoaster journey to change this derelict farm into a rare breed pig farm was followed in a television series called Jimmy’s Farm.

From there, Jimmy became an established science presenter and his credits include two series of Jimmy’s Food Factory. As a result of his increasing popularity and success, he hosted several other series such as Jimmy’s Grow Your Own Christmas Dinner, Jimmy and the Giant Supermarket and Jimmy’s Forest.

Jimmy has written three books and has launched a number of food products called ‘Jimmy’s Farmers Range’ featuring a variety of sausages.

Each September, Jimmy hosts a food and music festival on his farm called ‘Harvest at Jimmy’s’ and he has also recently opened a restaurant on the farm celebrating quality local produce.


Jimmy married Michaela Furney at a reception held at his farm in August 2009. They have two daughters named Molly Rose and Cora Mae.

Jamie reveals how to cook the ultimate steak – his blow-out côte de bœuf. Jimmy produces succulent tandoori chicken in his Do-It-Yourself (DIY) dustbin oven. Usain Bolt cooks up the dish he reckons is the secret to his success – his Aunt Lily’s Jamaican jerk pork with yamand dumplings. The boys are determined to put a fantastic but forgotten Nottinghamshire cheese back on the map.

Sienna Miller cooks a rich Tuscan duck ragu with pici pasta. Jamie goes for the wow factor with his whole sea bass baked in salt. Jimmy builds a Cajun microwave to create an alternative to the hog roast which delivers the ultimate crackling. The boys discover a delicious Lancastrian biscuit that had pride of place at the heart of an ancient feast.

Jamie re-invents the humble roast chicken with not one, but two blow-out recipes – chicken in a crust and beer butt chicken. Jimmy gives the doner kebab the gourmet treatment. Amanda Holden cooks authentic Greek moussaka inspired by her nan’s travels. The boysserve a tasty tart from Richmond with a long and royal history.

Jimmy serves his own charcuterie made in his DIY Tuscan cave. Jamie knocks up an indulgent feast of fresh Scottish scallops with bacon and sage, served with creamy mash.Kirstie Allsopp relives her gap year travels with a classic Indian street food – pani puri. Theboys serve a traditional Sussex beer cocktail that they believe deserves global recognition.

Jamie takes two of Britain’s favourite things – a curry and a Sunday roast and mashes themtogether to make his Empire Lamb. Jimmy builds a DIY smoker and serves up asmorgasbord of treats. The series is the biggest talent competition in the world featuring some of the region’s most incredible performing artists as they compete to take home the coveted winning title.

Meet the judges

Officially launching “Asia’s Got Talent” today is the series’ esteemed celebrity judging panel made up of 16 time Grammy-winning Canadian musician David Foster, UK pop sensation and former Spice Girl Melanie C., Indonesian rock icon Anggun, and Taiwanese-American pop idol and actor Van Ness Wu. The judges met with 500 members of the media, sponsors and partners for the first time at the “Asia’s Got Talent” showcase held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The judges met with 500 members of the media, sponsors and partners for the first time at the “Asia’s Got Talent” showcase held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. “Asia’s Got Talent” is the 63rd adaptation of the Guinness-World-Record-breaking hit “Got Talent” format, which was created by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and is co-produced by FremantleMedia. The “Got Talent” format is officially the most successful reality TV format in history and currently airs in 186 countries.

From thousands of applicants from 15 territories across Asia, the four judges must select the most jaw-dropping, mind-blowing and breath-taking performances. Those who advance to the semi-finals will face an even tougher judge, the AXN audience at home who will decide the winner of the first season of “Asia’s Got Talent”.

The Lost Symbol

before 2014 ended i was busy reading The Lost Symbol, caught yet again by Dan Brown's gripping storytelling. I've decided to put him on top of my favorite authors list now, because every time i read his book my mind reels in suspense and as far as his stories go, there will always be horrible deaths and unexpected traitors!

The Lost Symbol (i always confuse the title with The Secret Code for some reason argh) gave me some sort of enlightenment about masonic rituals, and how biblical they actually are.

nonetheless, i had second thoughts about finishing the book cos it could shake my faith (classic brown).

[SPOILER ALERT]

The masonic pyramid, according to the story, leads to the exact physical location of the secret 'word' believed to contain the Ancient Mysteries, which is essentially a manual on harnessing man's veiled God-like qualities.

as it turns out, this 'word' was actually a copy of the Bible, buried underneath a washington monument. i was relieved! i took it as a sign that the Word of God really contains answers, and that i should very well start the year by the reading the Bible. i was thankful of the humble reminder. :)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

re-reading the book for the second time was definitely better. i had a better image of things and was more attentive to the details that were missed out on the movie. i'm having fun reading it! sadly, halfway through and my reading schedule was interrupted by something that demanded more urgent attention...

Game of Thrones

i tried watching GoT i guess last year, but the first minutes of the pilot episode scared me enough to decide i will never watch it again in spite of the hype around it telling me otherwise. argh. having white walkers on the first scene scarred my memory i had to brand the acclaimed series as a horror flick not for the faint of hearts.

but you see, jeckie re-introduced the series to me by having me watch its other episodes. since then, i was crazy hooked! and learned better than to get attached to awesome character in hopes they'll somehow survive GRRM's fancy for killing them right when they've just won my heart.

just a few days ago i closed my late night marathons w/ season 4's finale, and just in time because i would have to spend the coming nights for another series...

New children's book project!

this week, i got reco-ed for an illustrating job! thank you kuya rey! yeheyy! it's the first time i'm charging for my illustration services so i realized it's okay to drop an intro price, also because i was pretty much asked to give one hehe. Just like with Super Labandera, i don't have a lot of time left before the deadline so my entire Feb is full to the core. i figured i would have to make the same sacrifices as with my last book; no weekends, all nighters, and maybe even a day off from work. oh well. rush is rush! >XD

i couldn't complain though! for all its demands, i'm loving this opportunity! i'm excited to sit down and imagine the characters, the scenery. i'm excited to sketch and research, and finally go down to coloring. everything about this project excites me! haha!

i'm also excited to get an office chair for my room. haha

Keynote speaker!

someone from my college invited me to speak for a leadership summit for graduating students and org leaders. i accepted the invitation and am kindof excited. i'm just not sure my excitement will translate to the right words or even uhm, gestures when i'm finally on the stage. haha it makes me super duper nervous thinking about it. but oh well. i got to experience this at least once!

while public speaking is a killer, i've always wanted to try it out. see if talking to myself works. haha
