facebook now supports #hashtags

Introducing Hashtags on Facebook

Starting today, hashtags will be clickable on Facebook. Similar to other services like Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest, hashtags on Facebook allow you to add context to a post or indicate that it is part of a larger discussion. When you click on a hashtag in Facebook, you'll see a feed of what other people and Pages are saying about that event or topic.
-Greg Lindlet, Product Manager Facebook

there you have it! so long, haters! if anybody goes on to rant about how annoying and attention-whorish hashtag filled statuses are on facebook, you can go quote Greg on this new feature. that'll silence them. or not.

though seriously, for all the good reasons this feature was brought into fb, i'm afraid most tags will remain to be spammy and irrelevant to the actual post. like-suckers unite! haha

Smart Freedom Day Sale, or Fail?

writing this kinda hurts. as a smart employee, it's sad having to read so much negative feedback at the recently concluded Smart Freedom Day Sale. but even at that, i can't speak for the company, this is merely my opinion. reading up on articles and comments and everything, i've come to realize that indeed, it was a big big disaster. so many people rushed and lined up to avail of their (well, our) too good to be true handset offers, but i guess not a good fraction was satisfied. most went home pissed and disappointed at having wasted all the money and effort to be among the first to emerge successful at following their freedom, only to be welcomed by an OUT OF STOCK message, less than 30 minutes in line, much worse without a trace that a single handset was actually released within the time frame.

that must have sucked so much.
most have branded it as a scam. big word to bear, but sad to say, i guess i couldn't agree more.

san ka naman nakakita ng sale na nauna ka sa pila tas out of stock agad? patay tayo dyan. partida, first come first served pa raw yan. lol

i bet they're going to put all the blame on the arabs again. >:(
warning: conspiracy theory ahead

so i just heard of this conspiracy, thanks to my boss, about the US's economy centering majorly and secretly on manufacturing weapons. tough business right? seems like something only a tony stark can handle. and just how is an ammo business profitable when there's no war? it's not! so for it to sell out, there's a need to create an environment were weapons are a necessity. war. it's a hype that will never go out of season, because there's a country to make sure their weapons industry remain steady.

and just like that, our world will be on a never ending war, thanks to those who profit from it. i was so close to believing that this is all about the US wanting to conquer the middle east to get everything they need to rule the world. i was so close to believing that the middle east is actually the victim of all this terrorist attacks because the US planted them for their nation to take the blame. so they could have all the reasons to aim nukes and ship soldiers to die and hunt for some osama bin laden as a front, then kill sadam hussein behind the scenes. i was so close to believing how it seemed so plausible that it's the US responsible for creating conflict around the world, so they would have a means to sell their weapons and wreak havoc, all while appearing to be the hero who stands beside the poor countries when they're being bullied. they would  lend their soldiers, loan their weapons, then take your land out of a debt they know you can't pay.

i all looked so real to me. except that it's just a game, ever heard of Metal Gear?
